Fall Season Practices Start This Week!!!
The end of summer can only mean one thing - fall season is upon us!!! Read below for important information regarding the start of fall season.
PRACTICES
Practices will be held Tuesday and Thursday starting this week! 6:30pm until dark (~8pm) at the 1st West Chester Fire Co (70 S. Bradford Avenue, West Chester, PA).
GAME SCHEDULE
August 25th:
Home versus Harrisburg (Kick-off ~11am, TBA) - Following this game,
we'll social at the field, as Brandywine Men also have a home game
September 8th: Away @ Lancaster (Kick-off ~11am, TBA) September 22nd: Home versus Chesapeake (Kick-off ~11am, TBA)
September 29th: Home versus Severn River (Kick-off ~11am, TBA)October 6th: Away @ Frederick (Kick-off ~11am, TBA)
October 13th: Away @ Doylestown (Kick-off ~11am, TBA)
October 27th-28th: MARFU Play-offs (location/schedule TBA)November 9th-12th: D2 National Championship (location/schedule TBA)

Upcoming Match on Long Island
After another win against the Maryland Stingers on Saturday (4/2), we will be traveling up to Long Island to take part in Friends and Family day with Suffolk Bull Moose Women's Rugby on Saturday, April 9th!
Kick-off is scheduled for 12noon, and following our game, the Suffolk Bull Moose Men's rugby team will be taking on Montauk with a 2pm kick-off. Both games will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Center Moriches, NY (directions can be found HERE). If you're in the NYC area, consider stopping by for food, fun, and a whole lot of good rugby! We hope to see you there!!!
We are also still selling 50/50 raffle tickets in order to raise money for our Scrum for Six charity game (with the Brandywine Men's team) that will take place on May 14th. Tickets are $5 for an arms length and $10 for a wingspan. All proceeds will benefit the Michael Bartone Memorial Foundation, and the drawing will take place on Tuesday, May 10th . Travel approximately 3 miles to I95
Take I95 South
Then follow directions for South on I95.
Go right at the traffic light, State Road North at end of ramp (stay in the right on the exit ramp)
Go 0.5 miles, Turn Right just before an overpass, look for entrance sign for Riverview Facility. If you hit Rhawn St you've gone too far.
Follow road straight to the river 0.5 miles to the pitches.
(DO NOT turn into or park in the Riverview Facility on the left)

After approximately 200 yards take a Right onto State Road North
Go 0.5 miles, Turn Right just before an overpass, look for entrance sign for Riverview Facility. If you hit Rhawn St you've gone too far.

We wrap-up divisional play against Harrisburg this Saturday (10/10) - playing for the #1 seed in the North Division.
With an impressive shut-out victory over Chesapeake (2008 MARFU Runner-up) on Saturday, Brandywine Women moved to 4-0 on the season and qualified for playoffs for the 2nd year in a row!
MARFU playoffs will be hosted by Chesapeake in Baltimore, MD on October 17th and 18th. The MARFU Champion and Runner-up both advance to Nationals (Location TBD) on November 7th & 8th.

Directions and information on the tournament can be found here. Make sure you follow the directions - the tournament is at Pennypack ON THE DELAWARE. There are multiple entrances to Pennypack Park - follow the directions to make sure you end up in the right place! Be at the pitch, ready to go, at 10:00!
Our second match of the day is at 3:30PM vs Raleigh. Please plan on playing on Sunday morning - schedule TBD (we will most likely finished by 1PM). Also, there will be a social on Saturday night - information is on Philly's website.
